Elias Barth | Research Associate

Elias Barth is a PhD student at IRM and his dissertation focuses on the impact of robotics on traders. The dissertation focuses on the question of how retailers can successfully use robots. In particular, employee acceptance of robotics plays a key role. In addition to his research and teaching activities, Mr. Barth supports the further development partnership programs as well as the HSG.Retail Tech conference.

Matthias Eggenschwiler | Research Associate

Matthias Eggenschwiler is a PhD student at IRM and his dissertation focuses on the successful design of cross-selling strategies of retail companies. Specifically, he in-vestigates which psychological mechanisms influence customers' decisions in cross-selling offers and which decision-making process dominates. In addition to his re-search and teaching activities, Mr. Eggenschwiler also coordinates the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in International Retail Management.

Andreas Hauschke | Research Associate

Andreas Hauschke is a PhD student at IRM and his dissertation focuses on the ef-fects of inspired employees on service performance in employee-customer interac-tions at the point of sale in retail.

Nora Kralle | Research Associate

Nora Kralle is a PhD student at IRM and her dissertation focuses on technology-enabled personalization at the point-of - sale. Data-driven, personalized advertising, already familiar from online marketing, has recently begun to make its way into brick-and-mortar retail, thanks to new technologies. Ms. Kralle analyzes how retailers can use these new technologies to generate data about their customers at the point-of-sale and offer them a personalized in-store experience based on that data.

Christopher Schraml is a PhD student at IRM. His dissertation focuses on how social media influences customer inspiration from a psychological perspective and how and when companies should use it to inspire their customers and improve their business results.

Christian Schäfer is a research associate at IRM and a doctoral student at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. In his research, he is currently primarily concerned with how strategic signals from companies affect consumer perception and behavior. In his dissertation, for example, he is investigating, among other things, how consumers infer authenticity.
