The English-language Certificate Program in International Retail Management provides you with new visions and perspectives for your company. Seminar structure
3 attendance modules within 12 months, 1 individual final paper, intensive self-study to become a certified International Retail Manager. The individual modules take place in St. Gallen, Oxford and Barcelona. Module 1: Formulating Effective Retail Strategies in Times of Disruption

- Retailing in times of the Corona pandemic: implications, outlook and best practices for retailers.
- Lessons from retail giants Alibaba, Amazon & Kohl's.
- Overview of the most important developments in the retail markets of Europe, Asia and the USA
- Management approaches (high-five model) for the transformation of business models in disruptive times
Module 2: Promoting Service Innovation
Oxford: 22 - 24 June 2022, Prof. Dr. Jochen Wirtz
- Develop breakthrough service innovations to make customers loyal companions in the pandemic
- Learning to lead with values and preparing for the necessary interpersonal change management
- Experience of cross-channel leadership challenges at Carphone Warehouse, one of the UK's most successful retailers.
Module 3: Success in the Post-Pandemic Era Through Innovative Business Models
Barcelona: 14 - 16 September 2022, Prof. Dr. Lluís Martínez-Ribes
- Develop customer-centric retail business models to emerge as winners from the Corona Crisis.
- Conceptualization of a differentiation strategy based on consumers' neurological needs and desires.
- Development of innovative retail formats with a neuromarketing approach
After attending and successfully completing all three modules and passing a written assignment, participants will receive a Certificate in International Retail Management issued by the University of St.Gallen.
