A sound research focus based on well-grounded theories, the use of innovative research methodology as well as sohisticated interpretation and the development of pragmatic recommendations for retailers, are fundamental to our research activities.
The Institute of Retail Management aims to provide:
• recognition in the scientific community as well as the retail industry
• retail-specific education for our students
• ongoing exchange of experiences with firms in retailing
• close collaboration with selected partners
Our research on e-commerce and retail branding combines scientific rigour with practical relevance to the retail industry. Therefore, both competence centres focus on reserach and publications, as well as on imparting our expertise and research findings through executive education seminars, congresses and collaboration with retail companies.
